Important New Information

This information is for people wishing to make an application for a court order in family proceedings. A Pre-application Protocol (PAP) will be in place from the 6th April 2011 which means that applicants must attend a meeting to learn about mediation and consider mediation as an alternative to proceedings before any application can be made. The court will expect all applicants to comply with the protocol before commencing proceedings and if court proceedings are taken, the court will wish to know at the first hearing whether mediation has been considered. Parent Information Programme

These are now held weekly either in Southend or Basildon. They offer 4 hours of information, delivered over two weeks, about how you and your partner can best manage your divorce and separation with regard to your children. You will be given information about how to give age appropriate information, how to try to resolve your disagreements and learn what is best for your children. You may be required to attend by your local Court, referral from there is free. You can also access these by contacting Tracey on 0845 2709400.
